Bitgreen
Bitgreen is a new blockchain brand that believes crypto can be the key to solving climate change. But to most people, anything that starts with “Bit” is the enemy of green. Bitgreen needed a brand identity that could spark a rethink on the relationship between crypto and the planet, nudging people to ask: “What if crypto could be part of the solution, not the problem?”
Brand Identity
Logo:
The triple B logo stacks like blocks on a chain, signifying the coordination and growth that blockchain can bring to creating effective climate change solutions. With its fluid motion and inviting curves, it’s designed to show just how beautifully crypto can fit with green, it creates the possibility to save energy based on which color is displayed.
Color:
The eco-friendly color palette and dithering technique go beyond looking green to doing green, reducing on-screen energy use and decreasing the energy impact of photos by a factor of 10. In OLED screens, each pixel is individually lit. That creates the possibility to save energy based on which color is displayed.
The Grid System:
Built like a solar panel, it expands from a single cell to fill any media. Every element of our brand identity stacks up to the brand mission — to mine the world’s collective courage to go green
The new brand identity has helped to draw eyes, hearts, and funding to Bitgreen’s planet-saving efforts. Since introducing the triple B and other design elements to the brand site and other marketing materials, Bitgreen has received record-breaking financial support from members of the Republic crowd-funding community and forged relationships with over 13 high-profile green partners working to build smarter energy infrastructures in the US, expand planet-friendly energy grid capacity in developing countries, conserve biodiversity in the Amazon, and more.
