Swarovski x Big magazine

A commission from Swarovski and Big magazine to display the mystery and beauty of cut crystal – its themes were “light and emotion” – led to this collaboration with cutting-edge, photo-based image-makers. Some came from fashion, others from art, most from both.

The issue won a Graphis Design Annual Gold Award, and with it a multi-platform synergy that extended into Asia, with a “Crystal Palace” erected near China’s Great Wall, and a Beijing fashion show with top models in arrays of clothing and crystal designed by Vivien Westwood, Gaultier, and others.

The “Crystal Palace” itself housed a glittering display of product from past brand collaborations with visionary designers.
